You can create custom practices in the manager’s portal, making them available for your workers to apply to yards or hives during inspections in the app.
Follow these steps to set up your own practices:
Step 1 - Go to the Operation page
Navigate to the Operation page in the manager's portal.
You will then be taken to the Practices page by default.
Step 2 - Create a Practice
Custom practices are created inside categories on the Operation page.
Categories that allow custom practices will display a + Add action option.
Categories that cannot be customized will not show this option.
Once created, the practice will appear for workers in the app under the same category, ready to be used during inspections.
To add a new practice, select + Add action under the appropriate category.
Important: Once created, practices cannot be deleted, only disabled.
Step 3 - Name your Practice
Give your practice a clear, unique name that your team will easily recognize.
You can also provide a Spanish translation for the practice name. If your workers use the app in Spanish, they will see this translation instead.
Enter the practice name in English (and in Spanish, if needed), then click Create.
✅ That’s it! Your new practice is now ready and available for use in the app.
Tips & Tricks
Keep names clear and concise: Avoid long or complicated practice names so workers can easily recognize them in the app.
Use consistent naming conventions: For example, start related practices with the same word (e.g., “Feeding – Sugar Syrup” and “Feeding – Protein Patties”) to keep categories organized.
Add Spanish translations: If you have Spanish-speaking workers, always include translations so the practices are accessible to everyone.
Review before creating: Check your existing practices to avoid duplicates and ensure each new practice is truly needed.
Seasonal practices: Consider creating practices for specific seasonal tasks, like “Super Removal” or “Mite Check,” to streamline inspections at different times of year.
