In BeeTrack, you have two options for creating yards: from the manager's portal or from the app. Here's the difference between the two approaches:
Creating a yard from the portal: Recommended when you are already familiar with the locations and names of all your yards. You can manually draw the boundaries of your yards and then proceed to create them from the portal. Once a yard is created from the portal, workers can start adding hives to these yards.
It's important to note that if the yard's GPS location is not accurately set during the manual creation, the yard will be moved to the GPS location of the first hive that is scanned within it.
Creating a yard from the app: When workers scan hives in the app, they are presented with the option to scan hives in a "NEW" yard or an "EXISTING" yard. If they choose to create a new yard, they will be prompted to provide a name for that yard and assign it to a contract if needed. As they scan hives within this new yard, the boundaries of the yard will be automatically created.
Furthermore, you can edit the boundaries of yards that have been created from the app, giving you the flexibility to adjust them as necessary.

Follow these steps to create yards from the portal:
Step 1 - Go to the yard map then select 'manage yards'
Step 2 - Select 'Add yard'
Step 3 - Draw yard boundaries
To create a closed shape when drawing the boundaries of a yard, begin by clicking on every edge of the yard.
Note that it's not possible to have multiple yards stacked on top of each other. Attempting to do so will trigger an error from our system, prompting you to edit the boundaries of your yards to ensure they do not overlap.
Step 4 - Fill in yard informations
When entering your yard information, begin by providing the yard's name. Additionally, you have the option to assign yards that you create in the portal directly to one of your pollination contracts.
Step 5 - Repeat
You have the ability to create multiple yards in succession before proceeding to the next step.
Step 6 - Click done
Once you have created all the yards you need and are satisfied with the information provided, you can simply click "Done" to complete the yard creation process. This action will save all yards informations.
